This time we did the Eastern Carribean. We like this cruise more as it is more relaxing because you have three days at sea instead of two.
Day 1-Embarkation Day
After getting on the ship in the morning and eating at Cabana’s my husband had to go to the kids club open house and get a picture with Doctor Strange.
After this he met me at the Champange tasting we had at 2. After that it was time for the sailing away party. However, it was so windy they had to do it inside so that took away a little bit of the hype of sailing away but all your favorite friends were still there and you could see the ship leaving from the windows.
Chip and Dale are dancing on the staircase.
Sailor Pluto running out.
Also was able to catch a quick picture with Captain Mickey before dinner.
Our first dinner was at Royal Court. Royal Court is all about the Princesses and Princes each having their own mosaic. Eating here is like stepping into your favorite story while enjoying French and American type food.
I got deep fried brie. One of my favorite appetizers.
My husband got the lamb and I got the Beef Wellington.
We had to have Creme Brule for dessert.
After dinner we caught up with Sailor Pluto.
My husband found his favorite Stitch.
Then I got a picture with two of my favorites Sailor Chip and Dale.
Day 2- Sea Day
This morning we had breakfast at Palo. One of the best expereinces on the cruise. This is the adult only dining option right next to the other adult only dining option Remy. We prefer Palo. You do have to dress up nice but this buffet and the service is like no other.
They have so many pastries to try but you have to have their sticky buns. They are so good and are known for them.
This is their seafood table including crab legs and little shooters.
This is the cheese table and all of them are good. They also have crackers too.
Make sure you don’t fill up on the buffet because not only do you have the buffet as many times as you want you also order from the menu as well. Lots of food but everything is amazing.
I got the eggs Florentine.
Mu husband got the eggs benedict.
He also got the eggplant rollantini.
After you eat make sure you take a picture outside on the balcony. It is always a good picture even if it is a little windy.
After a relaxing day it was Formal night for dinner. We got another picture with Captain Mickey in his formal attire.
Tonight we were at Animator’s Palete. This resteraunt is a lot of fun because of how interactive it is.
Crush from Finding Nemo will come around to the table and pick people to talk to. Here he is talking to my husband. You also see Merlin, Nemo, Dory, Mr. Ray, and Bruce. The silverfish play with the kids too.
The Salmon tartar is always a favorite of mine. I don’t remember what we had for dinner but it must have been good because we have no pictures of it.
This was some sort of cheesecake I believe.
After dinner I had to track down Pluto in his fancy collar.
Chip and Dale were in their tuxs.
Day 3 – Sea Day
Today was another very relaxing day that we spent at the adult only pool and jacuzzi.
In the afternoon we had a Mixology class. These classes are our most favorites. In this class you get to make your own drinks with the help of the bar staff.
These classes are 100% worth it. We have enjoyed everyone we have done.
On our way to dinner we took a picture with Peter Pan.
Tonight dinner was at Enchanted Garden. Enchanted Garden is the only one doesn’t really follow anything Disney but they did add a few Disney touches. However, even though you wont disappointed with the food.
This was the wedge salad.
The seafood tower. Another one of my favorites.
Then to top it off prime rib. I was so full that dessert wasn’t necessary.
Day 4- Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Today we decided to do Day at the Baths. We have done it before but we enjoyed in so much that we decided to do it again.
Pefect day for playing on the beach and in caves.
After we got to the last beach we enjoyed a great lunch at the top of the baths with a great vantage point.
Now time to get back to the ship and get ready for Pirate Night.
Stage show up on deck right before first sitting for dinner with all of your favorite friends dressed up in pirate gear along with Captain Hook, Smee, and his pirate crew.
Tonight at dinner we were at Royal Court and it was Lobster Night.
I don’t remember what we started with but it was good.
Someone got veal parmigana.
I got a lobster tail. Always a fun night.
After dinner we were able to catch up with our friends for pictures. Here is Stitch as a pirate.
Here are Captain Hook and Smee.
Here are Chip and Dale as pirates. How cute are these two.
Pirate Night is a fun themed night for everyone with a firework display at the end of the night.
Day 5- St. Thomas, British Virgin Islands
Today we choose to do Ziplining for our port adventure. I was scared but it turned out to be a lot of fun.
It was really pretty at the top. We had six ziplines to get back down the mountain.
Here is me holding on. I promise after the first one it is fun.
After getting back to port my husband wanted to do the Paraside Point Skyride. Best thing we ever did.
The drink and the food at the resteraunt at the top is so good, nice ,and relaxing. Close to the ship as well.
We got the tex mex egg rolls and Bailey’s Bushwacker. Everything was amazing. I will def. be going back.
Always a great picture with Dumbo in the background.
Back on the ship we had a great view from our deck before leaving port.
Before dinner for semi-formal night we were able to get two pairs of couples that usually don’t come out together.
Day 6- Star Wars Day at Sea
Star Wars day at Sea only has select sailings from January to March, If you are a Star Wars fan this will be your favorite day. It is all star wars everywhere all day.
So we started off our Star Wars day at sea with a picture of the droids.
Then of course because of my outfit we had to get a picture with Darth Vader.
Then everybody’s favorite wookie Chewie. He is cute.
Wandering around on decks 3,4, and 5 you may be able to find a few random people walking around. We found Ahsoka Tano.
We also ran into Ezra and Sabine from Star Wars Rebals.
My husband wanted a picture with the Gamorean Guard. I didn’t want a picture I thought he was scary.
Then by the theater is the back of the ship we found Boba Fett.
The rest of that day we spent at the pool and just relaxed until that night.
They have a stage show outside on deck.
Which coutined with fireworks at sea which is the only ship that has this.
Then you definitely shouldn’t miss the midnight buffet. They have so many choices and with different things then they normally have. It is one of the best things about Star Wars day.
Day 7- Castaway Cay
Today we spend the day on Disney’s private Island Castway Cay.
I would suggest that you just enjoy the island. However, I can’t say enough good things about parasailing. They take you over the ship and it is just amazing. A little scary at first but once your up its a great excursion and so much fun. This is the one thing my husband and I have to do every time we are at Castaway Cay.
The family beaches are just fine. Since we have no kids we spent our time and had lunch at the adult only beach Serenity Bay. We think the lunch there is better and the beach is much less crowded.
The one thing that nobody really knows about on the island and we just did it for the first time was the tasting on the island at Pelican Point. First of all, you get a great picture with the ship behind and the drinks were excellant and we were definitely feeling great. It is kind of late in the day so you might have to start heading back to the ship afterwards. We really enjoyed this one.
Always have time for a picture at Mount Rushmore.
Also while at the Island your friends are around for pictures dressed up in their island gear.
Pluto has his lifejacket on.
Chip and Dale are in their swimsuits.
Stitch is wearing his lei.
Mickey, Minnie, Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook and a few others are also around.
Day 8- Disembarkation Day
We are back in Port Canaveral and we usually don’t take pictures during this day because it’s a very early morning and we still don’t like getting off the ship so I’m sad.
Disney Cruise Line is the best vacation to unwind and have fun. There is so much to do on the ship and all the port adventures are so much fun. We already have our trip planned for 2020 to the Eastern Caribbean.
