Visiting the Disney theme parks around the holidays are absolutely magical. We were able to go to Disney Hong Kong during their Christmas time which they call ” A Disney Christmas”. This event typically runs from the middle of November up to the New Year. This event is covered by your park admission.

Charaters

Many characters do meet and greets in their best holiday attire.

In the front of the park you can meet Minnie and Pluto under the gazebo.Chip and Dale in front of the shops who rotate spots with Daisy and Donald.

Mickey is in the front of the park in the building on the left dressed up as Santa.

If you haven’t been to any park out of the US you might not know who Duffy is. Duffy is Mickey Mouse’s teddy bear. He and his friends Shellie Mae, Gelotoni, Cookie Ann, and Stella Lou all do meet and greets in the Main Street Cinema. They call it “My Journeys with Duffy” and if you are looking for certain ones make sure to ask a cast member as they rotate. My favorite one is Duffy’s new friend Cookie.

Unfortuntly, Stella Lou doesn’t have a specific outfit for this collection.

In the festival gardens in the back which they have decorated with lights and snowflakes you can meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen in their new outfits from Frozen 2.

Entertainment

They have three parades during this time. The first one is a Christmas show on the stage in front of the castle. They sing Christmas songs and all your favorite friends come out too. They even have dancing snowman’s.

The second one they have everyday which is the Flight of Fantasy parade that goes past the castle and down Main Street.

The third parade which is also a regular for them is the Disney Paint the Night Parade.

Hotels

You have three 3 choices that are on Disney property. You can stay at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Hollywood Hotel, and Explorer’s Lodge which we chose. They put decorations in all the lobby’s.

Special Dining

Disneyland Hong Kong doesn’t have special in the park. However, I feel that Main Street Corner Cafe deserves a mention. Is is one of the best burgers we have every had inside a Disney park.

As for special dining that is the Enchanted Garden at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. It is a buffet so many different choices. You also have special character meet and greets. For Halloween it was the fab 5 but this time it was Mickey. Minnie, Tigger, and Eeyore.

Also if you have time in the morning at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel lobby they have Tai Chi with Master Goofy.

Before leaving take a picture with the mural right outside the resteraunt.

On a side note their castle is under construction. Luckily the wall has come down recently and you can see the top of the castle. It is going to be absolutely stunning when it’s done and we can’t wait to see the finished product.

Conclusion

If you are planning on going to Hong Kong Disneyland try to plan for during the Christmas season. It is a great time to experience the parks.
